So far, one day of use, it is working as advertized. The unit is silent or beyond human hearing. I have used the 'donut' type piezo-electric devices that come without a filter and they stopped working after a few days of use. This type of unit that comes with a filter assembly should be more reliable. It is easier to use because it does not float on the water.
